The Revelation of the Glory... The Convergence (2). Part 40

23/05/20

God wants an entirely different order of things than we have now, we need to come to a knowledge of the mystery of Godliness which is revealed through the Scriptures. It takes faith to believe that God who dwells beyond our vision could stoop so low to wear the mortal flesh of humanity and to reveal Himself and to marry us though He knew our filthiness. In the old and new dispensations, the complex and yet simple sacrifice of God to save humanity has already gathered millions into one body, this work is soon to close and the time has come for us to become members of the church as represented by a figure of a virgin woman. It's worth noting that  there has been one Church from Eden till today, why then are there many churches? The true Church is constituted by the Body of faithful believers in all Ages (not the building or conference), so faithful believers should be One in Christ Jesus to become espoused to Him otherwise we are in spiritual polygamy. The Church on earth therefore is to be Catholic (universal) in nature, Protestant (keeping the commandments of God and His righteousness) and prepared as a bride awaiting the arrival of the bridegroom (Adventist), yes it's true, the faithful believers have to be Catholic, Protestant and Adventist. Now when the church has attained these qualities stated above, then the bridegroom will come and finish the convergence of Heaven and Earthlings.

There are few scriptures which sum up the thoughts stated in my introduction above:

That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:  - Ephesians 1:10

That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:  - Ephesians 3:6

According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:  - Ephesians 3:11

For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell; And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled  - In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:  - Colossians 1:19-22

Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:  - To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:  - Colossians 1:26-27

"Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh" Genesis 2:24.

The marriage relation sums up the story of the convergence of Heaven and Earthlings, Christ being our Ishi (My husband) and not just Baali (My Lord... The Supreme Being) (see Hosea 2:16). The idea of bringing together in One has been illustrated in nature as an example of God's reconciliation effort with humanity estranged by sin. Although there is a need of such union, there must be no mingling of the wrong with the Right. So how then can this union happen without compromise?

We may disguise poison by mingling it with wholesome food, but we do not change its nature. On the contrary, it is rendered more dangerous, as it is more likely to be taken unawares. It is one of Satan’s devices to combine with falsehood just enough truth to give it plausibility. Satan himself is converted, after the modern order of things. The line of distinction between professed Christians and the ungodly is now hardly distinguishable. Church-members love what the world loves, and are ready to join with them; and Satan determines to unite them in one body, and thus strengthen his cause by sweeping all into the ranks of Spiritualism.

It is the mingling of judgment and mercy that makes salvation full and complete. But to deal with minds is the nicest work in which men ever engaged. All are not fitted to correct the erring. They have not wisdom to deal justly, while loving mercy. They are not inclined to see the necessity of mingling love and tender compassion with faithful reproofs. There is an emotional excitement, a mingling of the true with the false, that is well adapted to mislead.

The love of Christ reaches to the very depths of earthly misery and woe, or it would not meet the case of the veriest sinner. It also reaches to the throne of the Eternal, or man could not be lifted from his degraded condition, and our necessities would not be met, our desires would not be satisfied. Christ has led the way from earth to heaven. He forms the connecting link between the two worlds. He brings the love and condescension of God to man, and brings man up through His merits to meet the reconciliation of God. Christ is the way, the truth, and the life. It is hard work to follow on, step by step, painfully and slowly, onward and upward, in the path of purity and holiness. But Christ has made ample provision to impart new vigor and divine strength at every advance step in the divine life.  - 3T 193.1

Our Redeemer came in the flesh to condemn sin in the flesh, to lay hold of the repenting soul with an unyielding grasp, and at the same time to grasp the throne of God, becoming the connecting link between humanity and divinity, between earth and heaven. He is the only refuge for the guilty soul. In searching to know God, man is directed to Christ, who lived out the law of God, and manifested to the world the attributes of the Father. In the Son of God the inexpressible goodness of God is revealed; for in Him mercy and truth meet together, righteousness and peace kiss each other. “God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Christ in the flesh, condemning sin in the flesh, was a perfect revelation of God to the world. Christ declared: “I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.”  - ST July 3, 1907

In Christ Jesus is a revelation of the glory of the Godhead. All that the human agent can know of God to the saving of the soul, is the measure of the knowledge of the truth as it is in Jesus, to which he can attain; for Christ is He who represents the Father. The most wonderful truth to be grasped by men is the truth, “Immanuel, God with us.” Christ is the wisdom of God. He is the great “I Am” to the world. As we contemplate the glory of the divine character as revealed in Christ, we are led to exclaim, “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!” This wisdom is displayed in the love that reaches out for the recovery of lost and ruined man.  - ST July 3, 1907

The grace of God is always reformatory. Every human being is in a school where he is to learn to give up hurtful practices, and obtain a knowledge of what he can do for himself.  - 20MR 6.4
