Ten days current affairs symposium : Day 1- Trump  now a nondenominational Christian!

Welcome to this  ten days symposium regarding current events and how they affect the present life of the Christian. We will be discussing the US election 2020 and other significant events around the world from the Christian perspective. In these ten days we will endeavour to demonstrate that the Scriptures are living and present truths applicable to all human events and situations, the Christian should therefore know that God has mighty power to save and is wiser than the earthly wisdom and the quiver of the unknown doesn't catch Him by surprise as it does to us. Today we will be discussing the significance of President Trump announcing to the Religious News Service that he now considers himself as a "nondenominational Christian" although it's reported that he did disclose the reason for the change. Why is this even news if the US Constitution does not require religious test for holding public office. If it's reported on Fox news and other mainstream media outlets it means that this announcement is news worth and should not be ignored by students of prophecy. It's understandable if one feels that applying prophecy to every current event can be exhausting and seems like hyperventilation on little sparks that usually avails to nothing but it's usually a little spark that causes fire with fury. "A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump" Galatians 5:9. 

So what am I saying regarding the significance of President Trump becoming nondenominational? From what I am observing, in 2016 general election, the evangelical Christian bloc voted 81% for him as reported by Washington Post than for Senator  Hillary Clinton, so the announcement is a political move to expand the percentage vote but dangerously uniting church and state into an unholy alliance. The evangelical voting bloc can only vote for a candidate who will advance their agenda like nomination of conservatives and Christians to the judicial benches like the upcoming confirmation of justice Amy Coney Barrett to the supreme court. On the surface there is a separation of church and state but a close examination shows this to be the biggest quid pro quo ever which is criminal chipping away of the provisions of the Constitution.

What does it mean to be denominational or to be nondenominational Christian? To be denominated is the act of naming a class of people under one name. When Jacob had an encounter with God his name was changed from Jacob to Israel. Therefore all his decedent's have a name, they're Israelites. So what's in the name is character. Just like when " Whitefield and the Wesleys had been prepared for their work by long and sharp personal convictions of their own lost condition; and that they might be able to endure hardness as good soldiers of Christ, they had been subjected to the fiery ordeal of scorn, derision, and persecution, both in the university and as they were entering the ministry. They and a few others who sympathized with them were contemptuously called Methodists by their ungodly fellow-students,—a name which is at the present time regarded as honorable by one of the largest denominations in England and America"GC88 256.4. 

It's unfortunate that the spirit of compromise has overtaken the Protestant church and instead of carrying the banner of the reformation, many have clasped their hands with the Beast through ecumenical alliances. The fear of being ridiculed as a "cult" has led denominations to "unite" on identical points of doctrine and brash aside their distinguishable identity. There is a repetition of history of the spirit of compromise between paganism and Christianity which resulted in the development of the man of sin the"Papacy" as foretold in prophecy as a power that exalts itself above God. Many are abandoning their position and joining the ranks of the opposition but the reformers like the Waldenses refused the offer "To secure peace and unity... (and) make any concession consistent with fidelity to God; but they felt that even peace would be too dearly purchased at the sacrifice of principle. If unity could be secured only by the compromise of truth and righteousness, then let there be difference, and even war" GC88 45.2.

"And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach" Isaiah 4:1.

Many want to be called a "Christian" but refuse to be denominated under the theocracy of God as a governing principle of their lives. Daily Christ's bread (His Word) is rejected and substituted for human dogmas living lively in the false professors of theology. "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men" Matthew 15:9. Without the aid of the Scriptures it is nearly impossible to distinguish between the truth and the counterfeit because the devil has converted himself according to modern order of things. The doctrines of Sodom and Egypt which crucified Christ (see Revelation 11) are readily accepted by those who forsake the holy covenan but are imbibing in the trickery of the flickering lights of emotions are thus solemnised as an expression of "love" which has been now reduced to cheap sentimentalism. How could the descendants of Martin Luther protest the evolved indulgences of our age when they seat on the fence of compromise? To be nondenominational is to be unaffiliated with the cause of Protestantism, these two faced Christians bow down to virgin Mary when it suits them and partake of the Eucharist and yet claim to accept the doctrine of righteousness by faith and sola Scriptura. 

All I am saying is not all Israel is Israel, the wolves have entered the Church to seat on Moses seat."To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them" Isaiah 8:20. " The people of God are directed to the Scriptures as their safeguard against the influence of false teachers and the delusive power of spirits of darkness. Satan employs every possible device to prevent men from obtaining a knowledge of the Bible; for its plain utterances reveal his deceptions. At every revival of God’s work, the prince of evil is aroused to more intense activity; he is now putting forth his utmost efforts for a final struggle against Christ and his followers. The last great delusion is soon to open before us. Antichrist is to perform his marvelous works in our sight. So closely will the counterfeit resemble the true, that it will be impossible to distinguish between them except by the Holy Scriptures. By their testimony every statement and every miracle must be tested" GC88 593.1.

It is not patriotic to allow the politicians to break the wall between church and state. The result of these foolish moves will be national ruin and persecution of 'offshoots' from the universal church led by the man of sin. "Those who endeavor to obey all the commandments of God will be opposed and derided. They can stand only in God. In order to endure the trial before them, they must understand the will of God as revealed in his Word; they can honor him only as they have a right conception of his character, government, and purposes, and act in accordance with them. None but those who have fortified the mind with the truths of the Bible will stand through the last great conflict. To every soul will come the searching test, Shall I obey God rather than men? The decisive hour is even now at hand. Are our feet planted on the rock of God’s immutable Word? Are we prepared to stand firm in defense of the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus?"GC88 593.2.

On the 31st of October 1517, Martin Luther nailed 95 thesis on the church in Wittenberg and lightened the flame of the reformation. Although these bright lights are long dead, the glory of the later group in our modern days will bring down the Goliath of ages and his gigantic system of false religion,his masterpiece to deceive the world. They will remain strictly denominational under the theocracy of God, " But God will have a people upon the earth to maintain the Bible, and the Bible only, as the standard of all doctrines, and the basis of all reforms. The opinions of learned men, the deductions of science, the creeds or decisions of ecclesiastical councils, as numerous and discordant as are the churches which they represent, the voice of the majority,—not one or all of these should be regarded as evidence for or against any point of religious faith. Before accepting any doctrine or precept, we should demand a plain “Thus saith the Lord” in its support" GC88 595.1.
