"Vibe emissions" that cause holiday climate change

Have you ever felt awkward in a social setting, you ain't alone, you probably have been guilty of emitting negative energy on positive people or vice versa and have changed their climate, you may need to take advice from the "socialist green new deal" and you'll surely be "woke" and not trigger others to frantically go to their "safe spaces".

Two scriptures that sum my thoughts: Matthew 6:23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! and Matthew 5:16 "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven"

The title of my study this morning may sound bizarre because I certainly don't believe in vibes (slang) or vibration theology but cannot ignore this modern term relating to the change of atmosphere during social interactions. The concept of (positive or negative) vibes is adopted from occultism and originates from spiritualistic Hinduism, the Akasha and Bahá'ís that the cosmos releases vibrations or sounds, they argue that the power of the mind changes the world for good or for bad. The scriptures however also speaks about the power of influence, as we are social beings, we by beholding that which is good or bad we often become it. It's often said that "By beholding, we become changed", the more we contemplate the character of Christ as revealed in the Revelation of Him in His Word, the more we will become conformed to his image and the more we behold the mystery of iniquity the more we become conformed to the world. So whatever we have been imbibing on will cause a change in the our climate and of those around us. Well, some people are always bad weather and their presence always brings a flood of emotions. The arrival of certain people on a celebration or party can suddenly be a spoiler, one of many examples is when the children of Israel were having "fun" around the golden calf and the arrival of Moses changed the euphoria to "epiphany". We are also told that the presence of a hand writing on the wall at Belshazzar's banquet caused terror "Then the king’s countenance was changed, and his thoughts troubled him, so that the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another" Daniel 5:6. Why is it that Godly men and women always spoil the party? We are now in the holiday season and if you are a true Christian men or women, you are going to change the "vibes" of your partying family like you are about to change their banquet hall into "an alter call" and suddenly they feel like they have to change their "loketo" or "kwaito" music to hymn number one hundred. 

As stated earlier, the concept of vibrations emission by creatures is what occultism channels into one to invoke certain emotions. So if they want the spirit of the frog, they will all unite in falsehoods until the battle of Armageddon. The change of the "vibes" will come from the tidings from the east which dries their river. "And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty" Revelation 16:12-14.

My simple understanding is that vibrations are only possible when there is a movement and a release of kinetic energy (In physics, the kinetic energy of an object is the energy that it possesses due to its motion). How can those who are stuck on "potential energy" by going nowhere slowly be of any influence to those around them? The greatest achievement of some is to be born, eat, drink, sleep and them eventually die, a purposeless life with no "vibes". I would rather "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising" Isaiah 60:1-3.

Let those your light shine and dispell the darkness in your family, preach the gospel in the season and perhaps the tipsy will see the handwriting on the wall. If you hide your candle under a bushel you are likely to cause fire to burn your loved ones. There is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun!

So what am I saying, don't boycott visiting your relatives this holiday, go with your light and shine. Some may put vails on their faces: "Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech: And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ" 2 Corinthians 3:12-14.

Why should you shine the light on this holiday season when Corona virus will be taking five days off from the 23rd December to the 27th? Why can't we wait to shine on Zoom family gatherings? My reasoning is simple, the branch has been burning during the lockdown and it's our missionary work to pluck them from the fires kindled from the bottomless pit, this is a personal work without the zoom mute buttons. 

May the gospel be spread to those we love because 2020 has taught us that life is too short and our gatherings are limited by the government, we may not be afforded other opportunity to shine without being cancelled for our vibes!
